LGBTQIA+ Free Company in Final Fantasy XIV
About Us
The Crystal Prism was first established as a Linkshell Community in January 2015 on the Couerl Server of Final Fantasy XIV. Our mission was to bring together like-minded LGBTQ+ players and allies who value diversity and inclusion, and to create a welcoming and fun environment to explore the game in together. As our membership grew, founder Astral Velanasch and co-founder Ursonis Avoda, among others, decided to create the official Crystal Prism Free Company on February 10th, 2015, solidifying our presence on the server. Now, for over seven years, the Crystal Prism has been a haven for LGBTQ+ players and allies, and continues to strive to bring positive experiences not only to our members, but to all players we meet across the game. We are always looking for new recruits, so if this sounds like the perfect place for you, check out our application linked above! We hope to hear from you!

Regarding drama:
If you have issues with a member, don’t hash it out in Guild/FC chat. Speak privately or seek intervention support from an officer.Regarding excessive negativity:
Please keep in mind that constant whining/complaining is a turn-off for the group dynamics. Sharing your opinions about aspects of the game you find displeasing is acceptable, but let’s not get carried away. We’re about the good/positive vibes here!Regarding Elitism:
Don’t be an elitist! We’re here to have fun, not to judge (or be judged) by our playstyle, skill level, etc.
– A Not-Acceptable Remark: “Ugh, this tank I’m running X-dungeon with is an idiot noob. They don’t even have their tank stance on. Dumbass.”
– An Acceptable Remark: “So I’m running X-dungeon and the new tank won’t put on their tank stance even after the group mentioned it. I need a glass of wine pronto–this is gonna be a long run lol!”Chat Guidelines and Clarification
Blacklisted Words and Phrases:
All members must refrain from using ANY of these in any CP-affiliated channels:
– rape
– retard / that’s retarded
– fg
– cnt
– racial/ethnic slurs
– other common blacklisted words
Keep in mind – context matters!
– Inappropriate context: “Damn, that boss raped us!”
– Appropriate context: “Someone called me a f*g in a dungeon. How do I report this?”Additional Chat Guidelines:
Go easy on the swear/cuss words. Try and “read the room” and get a feeling for when conversation calls (or doesn’t call) for more expressive words! We like to keep chat peaceful and positive! 🙂These guidelines are for everyone – officers included. Of course, slip ups happen – we are human! If an officer reaches out to you about your slip-ups – don’t take it personally, just acknowledge the mistake and correct your behavior so there are no future issues. On the flip side: If anything is ever said that you find offensive or hurtful, please open up the conversation about it whether privately with an officer, or in Guild/FC chat. We can’t promise that everything someone deems offensive will be off-limits in chat, but we can certainly have a conversation about it and learn to respect each others’ boundaries.
